My California Trip

What a month I have had! It has been great! I went to California to visit some old friends and then see my grandma and grandpa and my cousin who I haven't seen since I was a senior in High School. I went July 7th and came back on the 13th, and I went by myself! It was a much needed break, but I did miss my family. I loved seeing everyone but I did feel quite emotional going back to my old high school and seeing where I used to live. I don't know why I felt so emotional but it came flooding back to me. Part of me starting feeling those lonely feelings I used to have when we lived in Arkansas. I know it was a good move for us to do as a family but I really missed these friends. They were the one true friends that I could be silly and goofy and just have a good time with and none of them would think twice about it. I love these girls and I was so grateful to see them again. We went shopping a lot, stayed up a lot, (a little too much), and ate lots of good food, and went to my favorite, San Fransisco. It was a really good trip. After seeing these great girls I went and visited with my grandma and grandpa. It was a much needed visit for my grandpa has been in really bad health for a while now. It was great to talk to him and to have some one on one time with my grandma. We went shopping and had frozen yogurt, I loved every minute of it. The last day I had the opportunity to see my cousin who is getting married in April. We talked for 3 hours. I felt a connection with her I don't think I have ever felt. I have been happy to be back here, but I do have to admit it took me a few days to get back into the mommy swing again. Every mommy needs a break like the one I had! I will never forget it!
