The Best Sunday

Well, I think when someone else bigger and greater is in charge, you need to be quiet and listen. When they released me from my calling I thought, I am not going to be a part of these peoples lives anymore, I'm going to be in primary all the time. Well, I think Heavenly Father knows how mad I was and knew of my desires to continue to help these people, he decided to let me know that I will always be a part of their lives. One of our spanish investigators Esteban, who was in an accident in October is out of the hospital and doing well. He came to church yesterday and I was so happy to see all of the members and their excitement, welcoming him back. You can read about what happened to him here: http://mcintirefamily.blogspot.com/2009/10/topper-of-all-topper-weeks.html. I wanted to say Hello to him, but with all of the hustle and bustle of getting the boys to primary and then getting myself to class I didn't get to.
I started class and one of my girls came in late. She apologized for being late and said that she was saying Hello to Esteban, She said he was so brave and her hero, and that he was still getting baptized! They all piped in saying their sweet thoughts about his trials, I just felt prompted to ask them if they wanted to go and see him, and maybe even sing to him. They were sooo excited! So I told them they had to pay attention to the lesson so we could finish early and then we practiced a song to sing to him and went. Can I just tell you it was the best feeling. They each went over to him and hugged him. Esteban kissed each one on their cheek. You could feel the love. I had about 5 people come up to me from that class telling me how wonderful it was I had those kids come in and say Hello. I guess Esteban had born his testimony in class, and so the spirit in the room was really strong. When I heard those words I knew right then and there, Heavenly Father won't leave me dry, as long as I do my part I get to see, mi gente (my people). And these kids in my class, WOW, are they good kids. I love them already. I hate to admit it but I do know Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he put me with those kids.

I feel like I really missed out by leaving when the kids came in to go do things for my calling. Ana, Jeff, everyone has said how wonderful the last few minutes were. Thank you for being inspired to bring the children!

Marina wrote about it in her blog, too: http://marinatoday.blogspot.com/
