My Tumor

Weird things happen to you after you have a baby. For me my first, James, I fell into a deep depression and had a hard time getting out of it, then my hip came out of place. With Austin, I woke up one night itching my body all over, and breaking out in welts, with the next day my face turning bright red and swelling up twice its size and the doctor having no clue why. With Tanner I got this weird bump in my lip, I thought it was a canker sore at first but it never went away and got hard. It bugged me. I could feel it when I spoke, when I smiled, ALL THE TIME!! I even started chewing on it, hoping it would go away.
I went into the dentist, a friend of ours to fix some teeth that were starting to get cavities, (cause that is another not fun thing to get when you have a baby). I had him look at the bump. He thought it was quite odd and nonchalantly said that he could take it out for me. He told me it could be a number of things. So because it was bugging me so bad I was all up for cutting the darn thing out. So this Friday he removed the sucker and I have been so happy that it is gone. I was awake when he removed it, (which was quite weird feeling blood run down my face). He even showed it to me and announced that it looks like a fatty tumor which is usually benign. He wanted to send it out to their labs though to get it tested just to be safe. I had to document my battle wound, which the boys thought was pretty cool. So Austin took this lovely picture of me and my stitches. Austin told me he was glad I got my zit removed. Funny boy!

Joanna,

I hope you are doing better. Lucky for you to have a dentist who had the insight to check out the bump further.

You are in our prayers.
