Our Anniversary
Today started out OK. A little bitter sweet for me. I wanted to see Michael all day long but I knew that wasn't possible. I went shopping with Tanner in the morning for Michael and then I was done for the day. I find myself not having much energy to do much. I did have a nice surprise of Michael texting me a text I could understand and that was legible. I called a few times to the hospital and they gave me some good updates. I was very excited to see him. I had one of our employees at the studio blow up a picture of us on our wedding day. I had one of the nurses hang it up while I went inside his room and we surprised him with it. When I got there he seemed really down. I talked with his nurse for a minute and she had many good things to report. He only has one more dialysis left, (hopefully), his blood pressure continues to stay stable, his heart rate is good, his lungs are good and even the pulmonolgy signed off on the case! I was very happy to hear that things are improving. We are still waiting for his blood to improve and for him to be moving more. He also has to learn how to talk with his trach and then eventually get it removed. I felt very uplifted and grateful to be sitting with my hubby having a silent (for he was mouthing to me) conversation with him, and it was normal. We both got very weepy as we talked about the events that have happened over the last month. He doesn't remember anything of the last month. I'm a little bit grateful that he doesn't but sad too because he hates missing out on things especially when it includes me and the boys. I brought some presents and he had fun opening them. While we were sitting there my sister Heather walked in with a big basket of stuff. It was from her, my two other sisters, my mom and dad, and my grandma and grandpa. There was also a card with a getaway trip Michael and Heather planned for Michael and I once he can get around. I was very happy and weepy again. I continue to be so overwhelmed with gratitude for such an amazing husband and family. I'm grateful to my sister who put that all together. It made the day very bearable. Heather and I share the same wedding anniversary so I felt guilty she was spending so much time putting that together but it seemed to make her really happy doing it. Michael felt discouraged tonight and felt like all of this is never going to end. I reassured him that I had and continue to feel the same discouragement. But I felt very encouraged that my emotions were a little stronger than his so I could help him through his own. It's sort of like his emotions are behind because he hasn't been able to feel or get upset about anything until now. I'm just grateful I can do whatever I can to help him through it. I'm so grateful to have the one and only gift I wanted today and that is Michael's life. I was looking through some pictures tonight and I wanted to post some of my favorite ones of us and the boys. We have had the best 11 years of my life together and I can't wait to have more. Happy Anniversary Michael, I love you more and more every day!

Such cute pictures! Glad you could spend some quality time together on your anniversary. Did M like the gifts? By the way, I thought you'd been married 12 years not 11? Love you!
